Why film
Photos hold still. A film keeps moving.
You hear the vows again. You see your dad's face the moment he saw you. You catch the ten seconds you missed because you were busy being in them.
A photo gives you the frame on the wall. A film gives you the sound of the room, the shake in a voice, the way your grandmother laughed at the speech.

What I film most
Most of my weddings have more than one ceremony.
Nepalese, Punjabi, Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, and the ones that are two traditions at once. If your family has a haldi on Friday and a church on Sunday, I have already filmed that day.
- Nepalese and South Asian
Haldi, mehndi, sangeet, the ceremony and the reception. Megan and Bhoomi’s film runs through all of it.
- Sikh and Punjabi
Anand Karaj, the baraat, and a reception that does not sit still. Tanveen and Manmeet’s wedding was Sikh and Hindu together.

I am Nic.
I film weddings out of Melbourne and I go wherever the day is: Victoria mostly, and Sydney, Brisbane and Perth when couples ask me to.
I work quietly. I would rather catch the real thing than set it up, so I stay at the edge of the room and let the day be the day. The moments people cry at later are almost never the ones anybody planned.
Every frame on this website is my own work, from real weddings, for real couples.

The things couples actually ask.
They do different jobs. Photos give you the frame on the wall. A film gives you the sound of the vows, the speech that went off script, and the way people moved. Ask anyone who booked only photos what they would add if they could do it again.
Almost every couple says this to me first. Then they forget I am there. I do not pose you, I do not ask for anything twice, and I do not put a light in your face. I film what actually happens, which is why it looks like you.
Four to six weeks. That is quicker than most, and it is a promise rather than a hope. You will know the date it is coming.
